Game Play

This is a fun and unique game, by using different parts such as springs, gears you can create fun and interesting machines in order to solve the puzzle. When starting the game you are introduced to a scientist, this is the guy that is going to get you to make these machines. He requires certain tasks being done such as, getting items into a box and even cooking a sausage!

The game starts you in easy, starting with simple puzzles that shouldn’t take you to long to get used to. As you progress the puzzles do get harder and require a lot more thought.

Each task has a time limit, if you do not do it in this time then you fail the level. On the right you have the select of parts that you can use for that level, you can then put them onto the machine, turn and rotate them to fit where you wish them to go. Once you are happy you can turn the machine on and hope it works, if not then you have to turn the machine off again and try again.

If your looking for a downloadable brain teaser that can really test your skills then this is perfect for you. Some of the puzzles you will look at and really have to spend some quality time working out how the machine would work. Get your thinking cap on, get your spanner and prepare to make the very best, the most wacky machines!

Graphics

This game features many different types of graphics such as level backgrounds, parts of the machine and even a very nice 3d character of the scientist. The parts of the machines have been done really well and are very detailed. Not only this but each part on the screen has a shadow which really helps make it stand out and easy to see.

The interface is also very nice, showing you what items you have and also an item menu which allows you to move, and rotate the object you currently have. There are also many buttons to take you directly back to the main menu

Sound Effects/Music

There is not really too much music, this I feel is good. It allows you to concentrate on the puzzle at hand and not get annoyed with background music. You do have sound effects for each of the parts and also the scientist does talk to you which also offer’s a nice little feature.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed this game, I played a game many years ago that this has developed from and I have always wanted to find and play that game again. Now I do not have to! This game provides fun, entertainment and at the same time really gets you thinking on how to solve the puzzle.

There are many quirky tasks that are required such as laying pipes so that the scientist has a reminder to cook dinner and even asks you to make a machine to use a candle to cook his sausage. Venture into deeper levels, including space missions where you have fun items such as rods of lightening to make the machines.
