Game Play

You start the game by looking at the world map, the island your currently on is where you will start building your new civilization. The first couple of islands are aimed at teaching you how to play the game and teaching you about the workers and the buildings that you can create.

You start the first few levels with your town hall, 1 or 2 workers and some empty land. The idea is to drag and drop the worker onto a plot of land , where he will then be able to build a building. The purpose of the building different buildings is to produce resources such as food and wood as well making gold so that you can train new workers and build new buildings.

As you progress with the PC Strategy Game you will be able to unlock new buildings and new types of units, such as scouts that can go out and dig up raw materials such as gold and wood.

Once you have your buildings and they are gathering you resources then you can even send someone to that building and they will work on upgrading it. Upgrading is very beneficial as it allows you to have more people working at that building (as before you could only have a max of 5) and it also increases the amount of resources that are produced from that building.

Each level is also timed, therefore you have to complete your task list before the end of the timer or else you will have to do it again. If you finish it before a certain point then you will even be able to unlock secrets!

Graphics

This game features amazing graphics that a lot of time has been taken to produce them. They are top professional quality which is hard to find in other Casual Strategy Games. The interface has been done really well, allowing you to see full information such as resources, goals and much more.

The actual game graphics are also very well done, with impressive land for you to build your home on. The buildings and character art fits with the game theme perfectly and the characters even have their own animations.

There are many special effects, such as when the player receives a resource you will see it flicker above the workers head and then be counted into the players resources.

Sound Effects/Music

There is not to much background music, which in a game like this is perfect. The last thing you want is annoying music to be playing, while you trying to concentrate on the task at hand.

One thing that does really stand out about this game is the sound effects. They are incredible, selecting a unit and listening to it answer you us very amusing. Have a task done or even completing the production of a building has its own sound effect.

Conclusion

I must admit I am very impressed with this game and could really spend hours and hours of endless fun playing it! This really is one of the Best downloadable strategy games that can be found.

One aspect I really like, is the fact that you can upgrade the buildings to improve their use, and even add more workers to that building. This in turn will increase resources that it can produce, this allowing you to be able to build the next building since you now have the resources.

I felt that the tutorial section was perfect; it slowly introduced you to the game and how to play each level. As you progressed you were taught something new, what a new unit did or what the reason behind a certain building was.

The creation of new buildings is also done very well, simply pick up a work and drop him/her onto a plot of land, select the icon for the building you want. A couple of minutes later the building will be complete and the worker will be busy earning your resources or even gold.

This game is perfect for anyone that loves strategy based games, perfect for those that love building your own civilization. Why not try it yourself and see if you can be the perfect leader.
